Panorama baseball club has finished its little league and has won the cup in the B league in our first year of baseball. We have 12 kids in the provincial sides to go on tour in March 2010. We were also nominated as the club of the year in Gauteng for 2009/2010 season.” | |
 | This year a few ex S.A. and Provincial baseball players decided that due to the fact that Baseball is a growing sport in S.A. and so many countries are throwing donations and sponsorships our way, and that we at Panorama have such great facilities, and a huge base of soccer players to pull from we start our own Baseball club. With the help of very enthusiastic sport club committee members and parents we launched our new club. |
| We were overwhelmed at the turnout on our first night with over 40 kids arriving to check it out. Since then we have started doing all the normal registration procedures and already joined the Gauteng Baseball Association. Two of our Baseball committee members sit on the main Gauteng Baseball board. We have even had a few players invited to the trials for Gauteng colours. We are proud of our boys as all of them have never played before and they didn’t disappoint us at the trails. We await results and hope one or two have made the squad. Please come down and see if you would be interested in a sport which is often misunderstood as being very technical, but actually is quite simple. The main emphasis of which is participation, with every child getting a chance to play, bat and field. You can contact any of our committee members or simple inquire at the club.
